Compiler I've changed my mind, having seen the further discussion and following my usage, and the lack of real advantages to end user for Vista put forward by proponents, and due to M$ now marketing XP Home Basic again.
I wish I had, been able to get cheapo XP Home Basic. An install of 15GB and needing 2GB RAM for smooth operation is way too bloated for having a prettier interface. I'd run my applications in a virtual machine, and prevent XP browsing by firewall to avoid needing anti-virus/spyware & all the rest of the crapola. |
