The iTunes on my Dell Inspiron laptop computer has been acting "funny" for a long time and I would like to uninstall and reinstall the program while not losing the songs, books pictures and TV shows. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Uninstalling iTunes does not delete any data such as music or videos. What you should do is export your library to a file (.xml format) first, before you remove or reinstall iTunes, then you keep the list of files, playlists etcs that are in your library. Then when you reinstall iTunes, then you can reimport your library to reteive music and video back into iTunes without having to manually import every file and folder.

peterh40, thanks for the reply. I followed your suggestions and now I have the latest iTunes installed which seems to be working better than the previous version and my library is all there.
