Question IE & EBay Search Crashes
Just recently, every time I used my PC to search on Ebay via IE, all of the sudden, I get an error code and the system crashes. Even Norton can't restore it. . Norton reports the crash codes as:

Hi writer21045

this could be a spyware\foistware\malware problem

If you post your startup list we may be able to spot something

Please post your startup list by doing the following :-

Please go here and download startuplist 1.4 :-

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/startuplist14.zip

Download to any folder or your desktop
Unzip the zipfile
Double click the exe file
go to Edit - select all - copy - and paste the results in a new post here

Post your startup list first - then we will probably ask you to d'load and run spybot

Please Download and install SpyBot,

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/spybotsd11r3.exe

click the online tab to search for and download the updates, then shut down and relaunch SpyBot.

Go to the Settings tab > File Sets, and uncheck 'System Internals' and 'Tracks' .
These aren't needed for our present purpose, and you can always experiment with them later on.

Finally, after closing down Internet Explorer, click 'Check for problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds 'Fix selected problems'

I had added popup software to stop popup ads, and I've added a new wireless mouse to my computer. I took off the popup software and system still crashes using IE and Ebay search with message, "There was an internal error in one of the windows, shut down windows, etc)."... I still have the new wireless mouse hooked up. Could that addition have anything to do with new crashing (it's never happened before). Or, do you see anything in the above info that indicates problem?

Thanks!

Hi writer21045

You have far too many programs running from startup

see this link :-

http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup...artup_full.htm

And decide which programs you can untick

To untick them go to :-

start
run
type msconfig
startup tab
