CorelDraw Keyboard layout changed
I have had CorelDraw 12 installed for a long time without any problems.

The PC keyboard layout is in English (UK) settings.

However when I type a £ sign in Corel now, I get a # displayed instead.

Other keys have changed position as well.

I have no problems in any other applications, Word, Excell. The £ sign will always appear.

How do I alter the settings on Corel Draw to correct this??

Thanks

Since today, I have the same problem. I don't know if I did something wrong, but I've been using CorelDRAW for a long time and today I'm having the same problem.

I tried the solution mentioned above, but it doesn't help, unfortunately.

For me also Corel is the only program I'm having problems with. Office, IE and other programs display all characters fine like they always do.

I've tried everything I can think of, nothing helps. I uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and removed all registry keys by searching through the registry, I even tried the manual uninstall that's described here:

http://support.corel.com/scripts/rig...Z2U9NQ**&p_li=

Nothing works! Changing keyboard layouts in Windows doesn“t seem to help either. I wanted to call Corel Support, but they tell me to keep my credit card ready so they can charge me for support. WTF?

Hey I did find something interesting. Normally I don“t display the language bar but I thought I'd give that a try. Whenever I switch to Dutch keyboard layout, I get the same problem I get in Corel, suggesting that it somehow selects and uses the Dutch keyboard layout. But when I enter Office, my keyboard layout automatically switches to US. That's why I don't have the Office problem, it forces a certain keyboard layout (or well, so does Corel but it uses the wrong one).

I'll keep trying, I've got a DRAWing to finish so I'll have to figure it out soon

I found a solution (or rather a workaround, since I still don't know what caused the problem). Go to Options, Text and deselect Auto-Keyboard switching. If necessary, set the keyboard layout to the right one and you're set

Smile CorelDraw Keyboard layout changed
I've just found out how to solve this problem

try the below:-

To assign a language

  1. Select the text.
  2. Click Text} Writing tools} Language.
  3. Choose a language. (uk worked for me)

  • You can also set the language you choose as the default language by enabling the Save as default writing tools language check box.
let me know if this works for you?
