Exclamation unable to open GMAIL on my lap top, why? Help.
I have a new lap top, a Toshiba Satellite Special Edition, 2004, and I have been connecting to the internet via wireless internet cafes and via wire cables at the university where I work. All of my connections to the internet work, EXCEPT for htt:// I can access the initial page where one logs in, but after I enter my login it will not direct me to my mailbox. I know that my account is working, as I can access it from any other computer, but mine. The page that attempts to open just keeps saying ¨redirecting¨ but never opens.

Any ideas as to settings on my computer that I should change, i.e. firewall settings, or cookies and how to do so? Thanks. ablibow

Gmail log-in page is redirected to a secure server [https: ]

Its therefore possible that your firewall may be blocking it (take off the firewall and see), or the firewall on the wireless networks may be preventing access (in which case you cannot do anything)
