They even have 2 Popeye cartoons !! At about 300 MB apiece, they take about 1 hour to download with broadband. Dialup? Start them then go to bed. After work tomarrow, they MIGHT be done. I'm not complaing about the time for download at all, just expect to wait. After all, they are free,T.

If it takes you an hour to download 300mb, you have pretty slow broadband. 300kbyte/sec gets me that file in about 16 minutes. I'm downloading one from there now, just as an experiment. It's clocking along at 333kbyte/sec right now, and I'm still working in other browser copies with no apparent delays.

Thanks somefellow for that link, I never planned on installing Quick Time but it's worth it to watch a few of those old movies.

Here's a link for a whole bunch of streaming video stations as well in case anyone's interested:

In response to Johnwill, I guess it might be because I live in a metro area with ALOT of Roadrunner users. In reality, the 300 MB file took about 52 minutes to download. I also had other things going on at the same time, using my antique PC. I'm working on the upgrades as I can afford them. In the mean time, any ideas on speeding up my downloads? I just started using Tuneup utilities 2004 to try and optimize my PC without learning too much all at once. I'm not much for those download accelerators either, just so you know, thanks, T.

Thanks jbcalg, will try the tips tomarrow, almost ready for bed. Just so you know, I recently called Roadrunner to find out my download speed, the test they had me run reported me at about 1000kb/second. Of course it was a test site they directed me to. The support person said this was even faster than he gets, but, like I said it was a site they sent me to, and they may be biased. Also like I said, my PC is an antique. Except for huge movie files, I'm very happy with it's internet speed. Besides, I hear in January, my Roadrunner is going from a max of 3 MB/second to 5 MB/second. That should help also, unless my antique is not capable of handling it, T.
