Angry Epson Scanner Won't Work
I have an epson stylus cx4600 and win 98. I have scanned pictures before with no problems.

BUT.... now I keep getting the error message "EPSON SCAN CANNOT BE STARTED" so I close that and another error message pops up saying "UNABLE TO ACCESS SCANNER BECAUSE IT IS NOT READY OR ANOTHER APPLICATION IS USING IT. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE SCANNER IS ON (it is) AND CONNECTED (it is) TO YOUR COMPUTER, OR CLOSE ALL SCANNING APPLICATIONS"

I have no clue what this means can somebody help mme please
THANK YOU
DAYLENE

Please click on this site below paying particular attention to the troubleshooting guide

http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...oType=Overview

It seems to me that the scanner has a build up in its tasks to do and it needs to be cleared to free it up,so that it can work again ....sometimes that happens with Epson printers too ...
