Medical Billing Records Software?
Is there any kind of software that you can use to keep track of doctors billings, where you can enter the procedure billed, and co-payments and amounts paid by insurances etc? I don't mean for an office environment, but for personal use. As an example, over the course of a year regular doctor visits generate mltiple bills which go thru 2 insurance companies and generate Claim Records....and all that produces a STACK of paperwork even for just 1 person. It would be nice to consolidate it electronically.

Hi Bruce,

Nice Camaro!

I googled: "personal use" & "medical billing software" - and got about 204 hits. You'll have to do the necessary research to determine which suits your needs. For personal use - that's a tough call. Some are free and look to be fully featured being able to interface PDA use with Desktop medical billing software.

hmmmmm......I dont see anything that would work. Maybe its not called "medical billing software". all of those seem to be aimed at medical professionals. I mean something for the patient's own bill and claim records.

maybe this?
I don't know anything about this except that it is an open-source program - I just ran across it today while doing some research on medical records formatting...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/medrec/
If that isn't what you want, here are a bunch of open-source programs to look at:

Good luck

Smile medical billing software
I don't know about freeware, but as a medical professional myself, I use something called HikfaMaster 3.5

Do you have Quicken, or Quickbooks, these are pretty easy to adapt for personal use I think?
(I have the latter). Possibly a bit pricey though for your purposes??

Excellent, another Packer Fan on the forums!!!!

I know my wifes counseling center uses Therapist Helper which can do basically what you want to do.

They also have a program called Medical Helper which has a demo version you can download and try.

Would a spreadsheet do what you want to do?

If so, OpenOffice has a very good spreadsheet ("Calc")--- and it is free.

I love Brett Favre. I wish he would have retired before last year. I hate to see him playing the way he does. He doesn't have enough talent around him to play the way he wants to play. As much as I hate T.O., I would love to see them bring him in for Favre's last year if he is going to play this year. That would at least give him a monster target to throw to and if Driver and Walker stay healthy, we would have the best pass offense in the league.
