Verizon DSL internet
I have Verizon DSL and was wondering if it was safe to turn off the 3 things it starts to load on starup through MSCONFIG. If so will that help my pc load faster on startup? It's become a little slow since getting Verizon. Thanks.

To get someone to answer that you're probably going to have to tell people what these 3 things are

Yes it is OK to take them out of startup. Don't delete them because Motivesb is some kind of AT&T security file. How many items are in startup? Three you won't notice, 15 make a difference. I only allow antivirus and antispy apps. no Word, QuickTime etc.

the only one there that I recognize is MotiveSB, my ISP installs it too and yes you can disable it. All its for is real time monitoring of you conection and tells you when there is a problem then offers pretty much useless sugestions to fix it. The actual program is probably listed in your start menue as something like "net Assistant"
