Printing to cd using CD Label Printer
Hi,

I'm running a iMac with a Canon MP780 trying to print onto cd using 'cd label print', (packaged with the Canon). I'm stuck at the printing stage where I'm told to pull down 'Print Set-up' and simply select 'CD tray B' from the window then hit 'Print'. There is no CD Tray B (or A!) to select, only the usual paper sizes eg A4, A3 etc etc.

Anybody help?

Many thanks,

Graham

I don't see anything in the Canon MP780 specifications that say it can print directly onto a CD:

I am not familiar at all with the Canon "cd label print" software. Could it be that it is made to work with other Canon models that may be able to print directly to a CD?

Hi Chuck,

Yes, this Canon 780 is definately designed to print to cd. Maybe the this UK version differs from others. It has a very comprehensive and detailed instruction manual, but sadly I cannot get to operate.

Hi Graham,

You are correct, the MP780 for the UK seems to support printing on CDs and DVDs as listed here:

http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Prod...ex.asp?specs=1

Maybe some TSG member familiar with the UK versions of the MP7xx series can explain how to do it.

FWiW, it looks like the US version needs a little bit of modification to do the same thing:
