WM11 not playing from one user account but does from another?
Greetings,

So on one of my user accounts the Windows Media Player will not play videos from the web? When I go to CNN.com and click on a video the pop up window appears and everything looks fine but when I press play no video. This only happens with one user account on the computer. If I do the same from the admin account it works fine. I tried resetting all the security etc. on my browser but still not working. I am running Windows XP SP2, internet explorer Version 7.0.5730.11 and Windows media player 11.0.5721.5145, Norton Internet Security 2007 and Sana Security Primary Response.

I realize it must be some setting somewhere but can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,
Woffie

Perhaps set everything back to default and redo all personalized settings.

I reread your post have you tried empting your internet cache and temp files etc for that account? Sometimes a bad temp file or cookie will hose a connection with a program.

Yes but you may not like then....1.......delete the program under that profile and reinstall 2.......go in as admin and backup your profile then delete it......then remake it using the backup for your saved favs desktop etc...........

Smile Solved!
So I un-installed WM11 and its engine. After reinstallation everything is back to normal.

Thanks!
