Hi, I have an old toshiba satellite that has always been solid. It has a celeron 1.8MHz processor, w/ 256MB RAM and a 30GB HD. However recently it became infected with spyware. I downloaded CA Internet Security Suite, but as only the programs I downloaded such as Hijack This, Adaware Personal SE, Avast Antivirus, Spybot SD, Spywareblaster, and Comodo Firewall seemed to detect/fix problems, I want to uninstall it.
I attempted to uninstall in Add/Remove Programs, (before I downloaded Avast antivirus and Comodo Firewall) but when I rebooted it came back. Can you help? Thanks in Advance. I am new to the forum so hope I am doing this right...

Hi oldtosh. From what I have found on the web CA Internet Security Suite does not provide an uninstall facility on the pretext that it cannot be uninstalled by children?? try this little utility.

download and delete all files you can then go to local disk C: and see if there is anything left.

Thanks for your help. I confess I did not load the fix; after another attempt in Add/Remove programs, it opened the ca uninstaller?? Still not sure what happened but it finally worked. Funny but I may have caused the problem tinkering in the registry (haha). Think I may have (almost) cleaned out my infections...

Hi oldtosh. I had searched the web and it inferred that there was no uninstalling facility however it does not matter how you fixed it just so long as you have, now you can go to thread tools at the top of the page and click on solved.
