Solved: Uninstalling Office 2007
My 13 year-old son (who has way too much free time) installed a pirated copy of Office Enterprise 2007 on one of my PCs last night.

The PC has a legal copy of Office Standard Edition 2003 before last night. If I un-install the pirated Office Enterprise 2007... will Office 2003 work again? Or is it hopelessly hosed (and I should re-install)?

Wouldn't a system restore work? First uninstall Office 2007 then do a restore. You might still have to reinstall Office Standard Edition 2003 to repair any damaged files but at least your system won't be hosed.

I do not see why it would not work frank, and if your son is messing with your software, put him in a limited account so he cannot mess with the pc. Just uninstall 07 then reboot and load 03 again and all should be fine.

No restore points are available prior to the install so I guess I will uninstall both Office 2003 and 2007, remove all traces, and then reinstall Office 2003.

My son knows almost as much as I do about how Windows works (I taught him well) so a limited account isn't an option. I may ban him from using the computer at all though...

I uninstalled Office 2007 and tried to repair Office 2003. It complained that it was trashed beyond repair, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003. Will have a talk with my son when he gets home.
