Unhappy No sound from my Computer...
I use the kds k-92mdwb series monitor which comes with a built-in speaker. It worked fine with my old computer but it seems my new one can't detect any audio devices. I dowloaded the driver but all I got were some ICC profiles. I'm not sure what to do next...

Try using Microsoft Update to download and install the driver. Make sure you click Custom when selecting the update that you want to search for.

I tried what you suggested but I can't find the driver there.

Alright, I'm assuming that you're on XP, but KDS has not released the XP drivers for your monitor. I can't even find the drivers for your monitor on the KDS website. Unless you can contact KDS and tell them to give you the link for the drivers, I don't think that there is any way to fix this unless your monitor came with an installation CD.

Well yes but I lost the CD quite awhile ago. I didn't install it for my old computer anyway (also an XP). Though when I got this computer, it had an installed HD ADeck on it which was new to me. Could that affect anything?

I've got no idea what HD ADeck is, but if you have the installation program or disk for it, then uninstalling it is worth a try.

Umm, I tried it but nothing happened really. The computer said that it found an unidentified PCI device though.

Do you have onboard sound or a sound card?

Try plugging in some speakers to the back of your computer just to make sure that it's not a problem with your onboard audio.
