Solved: Missing "ordinal 30" with photoshopCS3?
I recently removed some trial software and after the removal Photoshop CS3 would not start. Apparently it needed some dll files that were missing. I found them online and installed in the system32 folder. However, now when I start PS I get the error "the ordinal 30 could not be located in the dynamic link library DECO_32.dll." (DECO_32.dll was one of the missing files I replaced.) If I click OK to the error PS continues its start procedure and eventually start up. I'd like to solve the error message though.

I make the assumption that removing the trial software caused the problem. However, I have no proof as to exactly when the problem with PS began to manifest itself. I can't even remember which software it was that I removed. Is it possible that DECO32.dll that originally was present through PS is different from the one I downloaded? What is an ordinal anyway?

thanks in advance.

I checked in explorer properties and the DECO_32.dll file I had listed as v.5 32-bit decompresser library". I found another version online listed as V6.1 "32-bit fractal image decoder library." Replacing v5 with v6.1 solved the problem.
