Checksum utility
Perhaps someone can help me.

I am looking for a checksum utility to verify the contents of a burned CD against its master or a copied floppy against its master.

I am hoping there is one that might meet my needs. I need it simple enough so a nearly computer illiterate individual can use it (i.e. click button, select media type, click go). I would also like it to work under the following configuration.

A stand alone machie with 2 cd/dvd drives and 2 floppy drives. Tester places master in drive 1 and copy in drive 2, clicks a button, and the utility says its either good or bad.

I don't mind paying for it as I'd prefer it come from a reputable company. I need to be able to validate the software for our quality department to bless it off and it would help if it isn't freeware.

I can get our software team to develop something, but i'd rather just buy something off the shelf.

Does anyone know if there is something on the market that might be worth looking into?

Thanks in advance,

Sean

I can't really say what the best is. I have used all kinds of them. I would just start Google searching for Checksum utilities and start testing each one out.
