Thank you so much. I will try that in a day or two. I was disconnected from the Internet today and spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone with a Verizon tech! And he couldn't solve my problem. But I have it resolved now.

You've been a big, patient help.

Thank you for referring me to the file which had very basic instructions. I have downloaded MozBackup and copied it to a CD. When I click on the CD it shows me one folder (dll) and nine files, from backup through default to MozBack and more. When I click on MozBack, which has two parts to its red and blue icon, I get "Welcome to MozBackup. This wizard will help you backup or restore your Mozilla user profile..."

Do I finally have it right? And if I do, and my computer crashes, how do I get my e-mails back from it since it takes me to the Welcome page?

Thanks again.

By the way, that 3 1/2 hours with Verizon trying to solve the problem of a lost Internet connection that was not successful was due to the Zone Alarm debacle.

I think the concept has eluded you.
Mozbackup creates a file that's simply a zip copy of your profile. I create about one a month to keep current.
This file, which has an extension of PCV is the only thing you need on the CD. It won't hurt anything to have a copy of Mozbackup on there as well, but it's not necessary.
When you have a crash, you simply run Mozbackup in "Restore" mode, and direct it to the CD copy you made.. I find it much more convenient to use an external Hard drive instead of a CD, but either will work.
