Can I pick and choose programs with backup software?
I am building a computer. My old computer has Xp and a few geat programs (Office 2007, Adobe CS2....etc) but it also has a bunch of junk. Is there any way to strip just the programs I want including the Windows Xp OS? I have the original recovery disk from that computer but not any of the disks for the programs.I have heard about Norton Ghost and Acronis True Image, Is this the way to go?

You are going to have to reinstall the OS and your applications. With a new motherboard and hardware, and your new computer is not going to boot from an image of your old computer.
