Software/Harware solution wanted Auto volume contol for playing AVI files
I'm running windows vista on a toshiba laptop. I'm playing AVI files from both my computers internal drives and an external. I use VLC media player as it works best for me. My line out audio is through the head phone jack and this works fine. I need to find a way to regulate the output volume as the AVI files are recorded at different levels. I've looked at a programme on the net called Auto Volume control 2.1, this programme doesn't look like it supports Vista and requires a sound card with audio in's and out's, I'm sure that's if you are lining in a external source like a cd player. My source's are internal files anyway. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't require that I run and convert all the files through premier software. Thanks
