Internet Explorer giving problems.
I have Windows Vista + all updates.

IE: giving problems.

It feezes! I can open other tabs, but that particular tab will stay frozen and be unresponsive.
The only way to shut down is forcefully.

I couldn't find any updates for it on Windows.com.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Try going to Control Panel > Internet Options and under the Advanced tab, press Reset.

That will restore IE to its original state, remove all customizations, and disable all add-ons. Then, you can re-enable the add-ons, one at a time, to see if any is responsible for the problem.

If you stop running internet exploiter you will most likely stop getting viruses
and lower the likelihood that some one will crack in to your computer

Unfortunately, that is not true. The total number of security flaws and bugs reported in the last year for IE was much lower than that for any other browser, with Firefox having the most security-related flaws.

ff have decided to shoot themselves in the foot.
latest ff + latest flash player = flash video will not play in ff.
this completely sucks.
as far as i know, this has been around for many months now.
doesn't matter who's at fault - it could boe adobe or ff, but its a problem that despreately needs to be fixed by ff.

user has problem seeing flash video in ff: 99.99% of the time, they will turn to IE.
this still lets IE live.

i read the stats on usage of ff.
at one time: growing and growing and growing.
as of right now, i think i'm right in saying that IE still has 70 - 75% of the browser market.

i tried out beta IE 8.
seemed to have a few bugs that frustrated me, so i uninstalled.
BUT... from what i could see... there are some subtle touches that make it awesome.
IE8's success may not mean the death of ff: there'll always be a lot of die hard fans.
but.. it will just mean that IE reigns supreme and in time will prob end up getting 90+ share of market.

while we're on the subject: ff3 - what..? what? nothing as far as i'm concerned.
i dont like it! the looks suck. and the new way it show url's in the address bar is annoying me. bring back the old version.

Since mine is skinned, it looks the same as FF2. So far, I have had good luck with FF3 and no problems, but see very little difference from FF2.
