System error message - crashed PC
Hi,

We have a graphics designer in our office who for the last two days has been experiencing problems which cause windows to freeze up and ultimately requires us to restart the PC. This is very problematic since the designers lose whatever has not been saved.

I have looked at errors in the event viewer and found the following. Can anyone help me out?

Faulting application Illustrator.exe, version 13.0.128.0, time stamp 0x466f007d, faulting module AdobeOwl.dll, version 1.0.93.0, time stamp 0x45dd6b23, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00077082, process id 0x1010, application start time 0x01c8f87d63023cbd.

Faulting application Illustrator.exe, version 13.0.128.0, time stamp 0x466f007d, faulting module AGM.dll, version 4.17.27.1, time stamp 0x460dad8c, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x002d3ff0, process id 0x1010, application start time 0x01c8f87d63023cbd.

Have you looked for a patch for the program? Sometimes also Windows will have an update that will fix compatibility problems with certain software, but I think a patch for the program would be more likely. You may end up having to change some settings somewhere, but I don't know what that would be. Also make sure that your graphics/physics card has the latest stable drivers, as a last resort (I say last resort because sometimes earlier versions of a driver can work better with some programs than newer ones).
