Red face Adobe
I recently got an install update for Adobe and decided to update. Though once updated any attempts to view Youtube videos is now met with "JavaScript is not turned on or you have an old version of Adobe's Flash Player." I have installed the latest Adobe countless times and checked to make sure my internet settings were allowing JavaScripts to run.

In addition, when attempting to watch a flash video I downloaded an error message then occured "failed to load core DLL" and I am almost positive that this error is what is preventing me from viewing Youtube videos. But how do I fix it?

Go to this tester page using every browser you have installed (one at a time obviously!); http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...5507&sliceId=2 The current version is 10,0,12,36 and, if you don't have it, you should upgrade immediately because it fixes one or more security issues.

I can post links for the special Adobe uninstaller and the new versions if you need them. As for JavaScript, I'm not sure what it has to do with flash player, but you can doublecheck that it is working in your browser(s) by going here and clicking on 'JavaScript' in one of the orange boxes on the left of the page;http://www.javatester.org/ If it is working, a box will open confirming it.

Thank you for your assistance, I managed to uninstall Flash completely and remove all its components from my computer rather than repeatedly install the new version. Then a simple reinstall managed to get it working again. I had not thought to uninstall it completely and reinstall before your post.

Glad to hear that you have the problem fixed. I was beginning to worry because I have been making quite a few responses to people with Flash problems recently and hadn't heard anything, which made me wonder if I had been inadveretently breaking their systems by giving them incorrect advice (perhaps you're the only lucky one?)!!

You can mark this 'Solved' by using the Thread Tools option.
