Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter DirectX

I'm trying to convert some wma files to Mp3 wth Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter. Each time I try to add the files to the program, I get the following message:

"The following file can NOT be read correctly. D:\My Documents\My Music\xxxxxxxx.wma
You need update your DirectX to version 8.1 or higher"

I have DirectX 9

I have emailed the Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter support, but am not getting an answer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
