When trying to download Google Earth I continue to get a pop-up
window stating there is a network problem and the authentication
server is unable to activate your session.The application will continue to operate but will only display data available locally.(in cache).
Following is a copy of their check for problems concerning my PC
but I am clueless how to comprehend any of it. Any help would be
really appreciated.

i had a simular problem once
i ununstalled and installed a differant version.

you can also try disableing 3rd party firewalls temporarily

I have Google Earth 4.3.7284.3916 in both my XP SP3 and Vista SP1 desktops. I just started it and it loads fine.

You appear to have an older version.

I think that was the problem i had was an outdated version

I stay away from 3rd-party firewalls too. The XP built-in firewall and the Linksys router firewall is what I use.

Thanks for all your help. guys, I was finally able to park my snowshovel
and follow up on all your suggestions. Almost drove me crackers but
finally got through all my security settings and got her installed !!
