 HELP with Uniblue Registry Booster 2

Recently i've wiped my computer out and started over, this meant i had to reinstall a lot of my old programs. only yesterday i reinstalled my Uniblue Registry Booster 2. I ran the scan, which lasted for several hours and found approx 76,000 errors until i gave up and stopped the scan, my computer couldnt handle to load of fixing them and uniblue crashed.. I dont know what to do, because i cant see a reason for so many errors in the directory. I've read other forums on the internet which says it isn't vital to clean the registry, as the computers performance isnt enhanced greatly, but that is only with 800 problems max! surely as many as 76,000 errors must do something to my computers performace....

any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

The concensus of opinion here seems to be that 'cleaning' the Registry is, at best, a complete waste of time and, at worst, positively dangerous.

If your computer is running OK after your reinstall I would suggest that you leave it's Registry alone. If you are having other problems, post details, including the full text of any error messages and someone here should be able to help you.

I am a 'reformed' registry cleaner user, and the only thing I do now is occasionally use a free tool called NT RegOpt. Details here; http://www.snapfiles.com/publishers/...rer/index.html

The errors being found are NOT errors and none of the items found affect performance.

Do yourself and your PC a favor and uninstall this piece of slimeware, and perhaps save yourself a future reinstall.(and, probably many other headaches and problems)
