Question Solved: Trying To Install .zip File?
I'm trying to install Joomla, but it comes as a .zip file. After I've saved it to my computer or even if I just open it with 7-zip, I get the same results. All it does is take me to the Joomla files, but I can't install them. I've tried extracting them, but that doesn't work either. I've never had to install a program that downloaded as .zip before and the other web builder I tried is .zip too.

There's a 52-page installation manual on Joomla's website.

Joomla is written in PHP. There isn't an Install file like you would have when installing a program on your PC. You uncompress the files with 7zip and then you upload them to your webhost.

Just read the manual as DoubleHelix has suggested.
