Angry Adobe flashplayer install...major problem!
For some reason, my computer WILL NOT let me download flashplayer (any version, new or old). It had been working untill a couple of days ago, now whenever i try to download it, i get a message saying it has been unable tocreate a temporary file and perhaps my hard disk is full. my hard disk is nowhere near full, so i dont understand what is going wrong!

I am having problems with my PC at the moment, appear to have a strange virus that isnt being picked up by my security package, so cant get rid of it! Involves being automatically taken to different web pages (some highly innappropriate) whenever i click on a link from a google search, not sure if this is affecting my ability to download flash! Please help im at the end of my tether! Its windows XP and internet explorer.
thanx in advance

kathfife:

When you start to download Adobe Flash Player 10.0.22.87, are you clicking "Run" or "Save"?

---------------------------------------------------------------

Download and save HijackThis 2.0.2, then double-click the file to install it.
Allow it to install in its default location, C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
Restart your computer afterwards.
Start HijackThis and run a scan with it(which will take less than a minute).
Save the resulting log in Notepad.
Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the entire log here.

Besides the fact that the log will show us what's installed and running in the background, it'll show if any obvious infection is present.
