Windows Live Messenger install problem
I had this program for awhile but had to remove it because of my small amount of disk space. now that I have the room for it I went to download it again but even though I uninstalled it succesfully the installer still says I already have it. I've hunted around my computer for the last few days to see if somehow it was just moved but it is actually gone. I'd like to get it back but I'm at a loss for the know how seeing as it truly IS gone. help?

Hello and Welcome to TSG

Quote:
- Download the latest WLM version availible
- Update Windows XP or Vista through Windows Update
- Go to "C:\Program Files\Windows Live" and remove "Messenger" folder (note: replace "C" with your root drive letter)
- Go to "C:ProgramData" (note: replace "C" with your root drive letter) and delete both Windows Live Installer and WLInstaller if you have any
- Restart PC
- Run the installer
