Graphic trouble.
I recently bought a new game for my desktop computer and it won't run. It gives me an error message that says something like this part of the graphics for the game are not suported. The graphics card is 82865G by Intel and I'm pretty sure its out of date. I was wondering if theres a way that I may update it or at least fix this problem.

Thanks.

you have to pick your operating system before it will go to the down load area this is for the Intel® 82865G Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)
it does come under a discontinued line

ohemergency:

The graphics driver at the Intel site is version 6.14.10.4396.

The graphics driver at the VersionTracker site is version 6.14.10.4544 - which is a more current version and the one that I suggest you download and install.

It's the one that I use in my old Gateway desktop that has Intel 82865G integrated graphics.

Download and save the file, close all open windows, then double-click the file to start the install process. Restart your computer after it's installed.

You should also go here and download the Microsoft DirectX 9.0(March 2009) web installer. Download and save the file, close all open windows, then double-click the file to start the install process. It'll download and install whatever is needed to update that computer's DirectX multimedia files. Restart your computer again after it's installed.

Okay, can I ask what game are we talking about ( wonder why nobody asked this question to begin with)? If it's a graphics intensive game it may not be playable at all on your integrated graphics card. That's why your card may not be supported by the game.

I totally agree about the integrated graphics bottleneck.

NO. Your graphics card is not powerful enough to "drive" this game. The game requires a card with at least 128MB video memory. Yours has only 96MB and besides it is not in the list of supported cards. Here are the system requirements for the game where you can find these information.
