Check your mouse speed it might be up to high - Start - Settings, Control Panel, Mouse. just one thing that can be the cause of that, if not will put thinking cap on again.

Hm, ok lets cover basics, is there anything you have done to the pc lately right before this trouble started happening? Are you running any form of a registry cleaner or optimizer in your system. These are snake oil, are you running p2p? If so, you may be infected and in most cases these apps are illeagal . Let us know.

But have you ever run any of the abovementioned item on registry cleaners before? You need to answer my previous post more thoroughly.

Also: have you tried the silly things such as rebooting the pc?

Ok, well it sounds alot like troubles in windows explorer to me. You dont have nero on your pc do you? I know that has some explorer shell plugins that somtimes hose things up. In any event, try running a chkdsk. Might clean up the system a little. Just go to my computer>right click drive C> properties. Then click the tools tab and under error checking click check now, click both check boxes and start. You will get a prompt to run at next restart, click yes, then reboot your system and the scan will initiate. It takes time so be patient with it then after it is done go back into the computer and see how things are running.
