firstly i cant remove the IE and its not even working like whenever i open it, it just wont open the process starts in the task managers and then just disappears but then in the mozilla, whenever, i select a search result from google(mostly with google not sure abt with yahoo) i just get redirected to another page, it is only after a few tries that sometimes i get directed to the right page.

PLease can anyone help me out as if to what the problem is with this sytem, i installed AVG and then ran a full scan after what i select to fix all the errors and now my DVD/CD rom is not coming up in my computer.

Almost certainly a Spyware/Virus problem.
You can post a Hijack log in the malware forum and run a scan with Malawarebytes Anti-Malware:
