Solved: Registry Cleaner
Hey folks.

I've been looking for a good, free registry cleaner that will work well.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

None, but I have remains of programs no longer on my computer, and I want to get rid of them all.

When you have been here and browsed this site a while longer, I think you will find that most of us do NOT recommend using registry cleaners. Many problems can be had because of what they do.

You can try Ccleaner Slim.....but you use it at your own risk.......it cleans out your temp folders but has a Registry Cleaner which is not too agressive.

If you look around the forums you will find recent posts referring to issues with Ccleaner's Reg Cleaner, it's best to steer clear

I do use ccleaner, however, I disable the regedit. When you open ccleaner, select the 2nd tab, scroll down to near the bottom of the list, and uncheck regedit.
