Question deleted ichat now reinstall and says ...
It says "you cannot use this version of application iChat with this version of Mac OS X". But it was working before. Is there something i can do to fix this?

Try dragging the application in question (ichat) to the desktop then back to the application folder. This should work.

Are you sure that you went into the applications folder, dragged the application iChat onto the desktop, ran it from the desktop, then drug it back to the applications folder?
