Unhappy NETGEAR problems. WGR614
i'm running on a windows vista OS, i bought the NETGEAR 54 mbps router "WGR614 v7" around christmas last year, i remember it taking literally 5 hours straight of phone tech with att and netgear to get my router somewhat set up. i recently re-booted my computer because it got slow, too slow where i couldnt use it anymore. now that i did that my wireless router dont work. im positive my modem is in working condtion and all that is left is my netgear router. so i called netgear up and they tryed to scam me into paying more money for premium support because my 90 day tech support ran out. now im stuck with a laptop confined to my computer desk. i tryed setting it up myself but i get a error message everytime right after i enter in my PPPOE information. if you could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Who is your ISP?
What is the error message?
Gather all your info,(User name, password) reset to defaults and use the install CD.

Why would rebooting your PC change any settings related to your router?

I'd be looking at PC, not router.

But, if you have determined some how, some way, that it is your router, have you tried to plug into it directly, bypassing wireless?

By re-booting,do you mean:
Just re-starting
or
Reformat or re-install the operating system ?
