Question Solved: Itunes/Ipod problem
Alright, I have an issue with the whole itunes and ipod stuff, which I personally think is the hell and bane of creation to begin with...

Anyway my problem is, I had to reformat my PC, it became unresponsive after a bad OS Install, and I couldn't back up anything on the Ipod Touch, so now I load up Itunes after getting my PC straightened out and it only gives me the option to wipe the Ipod drive and sync it with my empty Itunes Library, which I don't have the desire to do because all my apps, music, etc are on the Ipod. And the Ipod refuses to remove any media from itself to my pc unless I have the exact file on my computer (Copyrite infringement defense).

If anyone has any remedies for this problem I would be thankful, my goal is to get the stuff off of the Ipod back to Itunes without losing anything, but this seems to be impossible, I have already tried one third party program that was supposedly free, but onmly for the first 100 files, go figure.

Do you have the old iTunes folder saved in an archive?

If so you may be able to copy over your old iTunes files or import them from their archive location and then the new iTunes will have the old data and viola!! all is happy. If not, then I don't think you will be able to resurrect the files off the iPod, unless you have allowed disk access on the iPod during your last sync.

Thanks for the reply mate, I actually did get the music off with third party software I found. The Ipod won't let you rip music off of it even if you have disk access enabled unless the files are already on your Itunes library (So you can take them on and off).
