Exclamation driver problems
hi there.... im just here to ask... recently i've downgraded my hp computer which orginally came with windows vista home basic sp1 installed on it....
i've downgraded it to windows xp professional sp2...
and that really gave me problems with my drivers....
bottom line is... i just wanna know... if i were 2 reinstall windows vista home basic sp1 on my com... will i get all my drivers back?
as in will my sound card and all be working again?
i just need help coz i want 2 buy windows vista... and just wanna knoe if it will bring my com back 2 the state it was originally in.. b4 i actually spend cash on buying da disc.......
im using a HP compaq presario F700....

OK.So.
If you want to stay with XP but certain devices won't run,first thing I would do is go to the HP site,look at your model and see if their are any xp drivers available for the devices that are not working(I would look for the chipset driver first)
Then network adapters,video,audio,whatever is not working.
And I think at this point,whatever you do the only safe way to get a compatible driver set,is as I suggested.From hp.

thx 4 the advise bro.... but i have already tried that... but hp doesnt have the drivers....
and they have also made the statement out 2 those ppl like me who downgrades from vista to xp.... saying that they will not release the drivers....
so thats why what i just wanted 2 do is switch back to vista.....
all i need is a gurantee that after reinstalling vista... my drivers will al work.....
im not sure if it will or nt... thats why i am asking... HELP MEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The drivers are obviously available, as your PC worked previously. Nobody here can guarantee anything, but it seems very likely that this is possible.
I don't know what drivers HP supplied, so you might check out their site so as to have the Vista drivers available when you reinstall.
