Question Firefox crashes VERY frequently (ADD ONS?)
In the process of posting this I checked the moziila site for the the heck of it. I am running the 'fox in safe and am going to resume what I was doing. but a question I have is : Is there A known issue with add ons interfering with flash web sties? That seems to be where in happens the most. I like the 'fox but this is getting old.
A request for you power users out there. I am considering a "Registry/System mechanic type software (that could detect/delete unused.dll's). Any ones I should look at or stay away from? Using AVG and Spybot currently but I am leary of ANY software tinkering with my registry. Have heard Ashmpoo has pretty solid stuff.
So which one would you fine folks suggest

You don't want to touch that crapware with a 10 foot pole!

You will only end up crippling your computer.

Please stay away from any registry cleaning tools.

Totally agree with Phantom010... Please do not use ANY registry cleaners on your computer. You may get by with once, twice or any number of times, but it WILL bite you eventually.

I suggest you reinstall FF. If you are not currently running v3.5.2, you can simply update FF and that should suffice as a reinstall. Otherwise, I would uninstall and reinstall FF.

What Add Ons do you have active? If you suspect an Add On is the problem, they are simple to uninstall one at a time to see if one of them changes things. Perhaps this should be the first thing you should do before attempting a reinstall or update.

Try creating a new profile

Windows
---------------------
Windows Key + R > Run
"firefox.exe -profilemanager"

Others
--------------------
Command line
"firefox -profilemanager"
