radical problem with FireFox!
My Mozilla FireFox is totally messed up! I can't size the window anymore, and the three icons in the upper right corner are gone!

I can't even close the window without using the task manager

I am using vista home pro and firefox 3.5

Anybody have any idea what's wrong?

Thanks in advance

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner .

On the re-install I was afraid to dump all the settings and customizations ..
I fear that I must, if I want a normally working FireFox, unless someone knows how to get the regular window features back ...

I sometimes encountering the same problem but not same as the FF3.5 earlier version. with 3.5.3 I noticed it now very seldom happen...

guess you just have to upgrade or make a new download.

Right click the Firefox shortcut and click Properties.
On the Shortcut tab, set the "Run" line to "Normal window" and OK.
Try Firefox.
If it still is missing the brand bar (where the min, restore, and close buttons are), open the Properties again and set the "Run" Line to "Minimized" and OK.
Try Firefox. It should open as a button on the Taskbar. Double click the button to bring it up.
If the brand bar is there, set the shortcut to "Normal Window" again and OK.

If that doesn't reset things, you will likely have to do a clean reinstall.
Make a COPY of your Profile folder to Import your bookmarks and settings from.

T.

Edit: This assumes it's only Firefox with the problem and no other windows are affected.
