Uninstall Spybot - Search & Destroy. If it asks you if you want to remove all logs and files, allow it to do so.

After you uninstall it and restart your computer, go into the C:\Program Files folder and delete the Spybot folder - if it's still there.

Run a new HijackThis scan and then post that new log here.

Start HijackThis and run a scan, then put a checkmark in:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - AutorunsDisabled - (no file)

then click "Fix Checked", then close HijackThis.

Start HijackThis again, then click on the "Open The Misc Tools Section" button, then click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button, then click the "Save List" button.

Save the "uninstall_list.txt" file somewhere. It'll then open in Notepad.

Uninstall the following:

Adobe Acrobat 5.0
(It's a very outdated version of Adobe Reader, and you already have version 9.1)

Adobe AIR
(It's extra unneeded crap that comes with Adobe Reader 9.1)

Apple Software Update
(It gets installed with QuickTime and isn't needed)

Java(TM) 6 Update 14

Java(TM) 6 Update 5
(The current version is 6 Update 16. Download it from here(click the green icon) and install it only AFTER you've uninstalled these 2 old versions)

Microsoft Silverlight
(You don't need it and it's problematic and it clashes with Adobe Flash Player)

Norton Internet Security
(Alwil Avast4 is your antivirus program and you don't want multiple antivirus programs installed)

Windows Live Sign-in Assistant

Windows Live Upload Tool
(This is extra crap installed with Windows Live Messenger) and isn't needed)

After you're done and have restarted, follow the HijackThis instructions in the bottom part of post #19, then post that new list here.

Advise me if you had any problem uninstalling any of the above.

Norton Internet Security isn't a program currently installed on my computer as a program, I don't know why Hijack picked it up.

Go here and download the Norton Removal Tool.

Close all open windows, then run it.

Restart your computer afterwards.

Did you uninstall the other programs and install the updated java program - per the instructions in post #21?

I don't know what happened, I uninstalled everything you told me to and then I couldn't get on the internet, everything just stopped working. So I had to restore to about five days ago, basically, I have to go over everything again.

The 9 programs that I advised you in post #21 to uninstall wouldn't have had anything to do with knocking out your internet connection.

You've gone back 5 days with System Restore, so you've pretty much negated everything we've done so far.

Between all the extra crap you have installed in that computer and whatever you've been downloading from torrent sites, it's unknown why you're having updating problems.

We're wasting our time here.
