Open With Wordpad Problem
Computer had a serious error recently and I had to do a repair installation of windows. Since then, if I try to right-click>openwith "WordPad" the document opens a "printing to xps docment writer" window, and then on top of that window a "Save as..." dialog opens.

I am at a complete loss here, what the hell happened?

You don't provide an operating system, so I can't give specific directions. If it's Windows XP, check the file association settings. I bet the default action for the file type you're working with is set to Print instead of Open.

Yes, it is windows xp.

However, I don't think you understand. Whenever I try to open ANY file using "open with" and select wordpad, it automatically tries to print. I cannot just change the default, because open with should override that, and even if it didnt, this happens with ANY file type.

I omitted to add that I noticed Wordpad in Prog listing under Accessories.
I had there assumed I have a secondary problem as to why I can not
open a Wordpad Attachment .

Its back to the drawing board I think.

It is a very important Attachment so a friend of mine (Bit of a Computer whizzkid) help me over the phone.
I had to forward him the E-mail, he opened the attachment and Copy/Pasted it and E-mailed the "opened" message back to me.
So I got there in the end.

Again with thanks,
