Unhappy Keystrokes not typig on Internet
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720, running on Windows Vista (32 bit), wondering how to fix the glitch that the Dell Techs call a software issue... when using online applications, such as chat, or typing into textboxes on FaceBook or other sites (even job applications), my keystrokes are not registering... for some reason this application is not experiencing the problem, curious. But, what works is if I type it all into Word, the cut and paste the text to where I want it. Very tedious, to say the least, but the alternative is to go back through the text I just typped, and try to fix all of the typos created by missing letters, spaces, etc. On dell's suggestion, (and their dime) I have replaced the keyboard; my computer is still under warranty, but because of the "software nature" of this issue, they want to charge up the ying-yang to troubleshoot and repair it. Any suggestions?

One thing you might try.
From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons, disable all add-ons.
See if that helps. If that works, then re-enable the add-ons one at a time
until the problem reappears.

OK, disabled add-ons... trying it.. The problem seems to be gone on Hotmail... Facebook is still having difficulties... Application on line is having diffiulties.... though none of them are nearly as intense as they had been... maybe a computer resart will finalize the changes, and complete the repair..... Will update tomorrow.
