Having it in the toolbar is almost as good I guess, but you have to do twice the work, opening the menu then selecting your action. Can FF allow Roboform to function normally? (ps. Thank you very much to everyone for all the constructive advice and feedback. Very helpful! |
If you wish to continue using Roboform with FF, you must install the Roboform toolbar add-on.
To do so, do the following:
1. Open FF.
2. At the top of the window, click "Tools"
3. Select Add-ons' from the drop-down menu.
4, In the popup window (see attachment 1), if not already showing Add-ons, click the "Get Add-ons" button. Now click "Browse all Add-ons"
5. In the search box enter "Roboform". Leave the second box as is and click the search button. You should get a result as shown in attachement 2.
6. In the Add-on titled ""Roboform Toolbar", click the "Add to Firefox (windows)" Button.
7 Following installation you will get a dialog window saying you must restart Firefox to complete the installation. If FF has not already been shut down, do so and launch it again. The Roboform toolbar should install and be present near the top of the browser window. You use it the same as you did with IE.
Be sure to go into "Options" in Roboform and click "Log-in Browser" in the left pane, then select Firefox in the right pane. (See attachment 3)
You can add or take away the various toolbar functions by right-clicking on a blank area of the Roboform toolbar and selecting "Customize". Simply left click and drag whatever tools you want or don't want back and forth between the tool window and the tool bar.
