Solved: Advanced System Care Software Help
I am using ASC Free V 3.3.4. When I go to "Utilities">"Admin Tools">"Disk Explorer" and run this application I have the following program description on my disk using 239.52 MB of space. It refers to iPod which I do not or will ever own. Please read the following and advise if I can delete safely. (Trying to eliminate anything unnecessary as this CPU has only 10 gigs. Older Dell Optiflex GX150). This is how it reads: iPod 1,1_2.1_5F137_restore.ipsw next description is as follows: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates Next description is IPSW File. Just need some advice.
Thanks,
jberd99usa

Looks like itunes was probably preinstalled on the computer if
you didn't install it.
If you don't use it,remove it using add/remove programs in
control panel.
Don't use the utility to remove the entry or you may not be able
to uninstall it.

No iTunes in Add/Remove
Went to Add/Remove and nothing in there with respect to iTunes. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Are you using an iphone by any chance?

Could have also been installed with quicktime.

No iphone or Quicktime
These may have been on this system at one time but nothing in add/remove as of now. This is a borrowed, older, (2000/2001?) Dell GX150 desktop CPU with XP Pro O/S. Using Firefox as a browser as the previous user downloaded IE 8 and really jacked up the O/S from that point. I have no O/S CD and not really into delving into the O/S as I am only waiting on a new Motherboard for my real CPU. Really just trying to "clean up" this CPU as a favor for using this borrowed unit. Any other thoughts are really appreciated.
Thanks,

Firstly, advanced system care is a registry cleaner. You should ditch that and anything else that promises to "clean" and "optimize" the system registry. They do more harm then good. As for itunes stuff, could have had an ipod at some point that is no longer used. As long as itunes nor any ipod software is installed its probably safe to just delete the files. But the system is not optimized by registry cleaning. "Your not gonna gain anything by cleaning a parking space in a parking lot the size of montana" - quote from Elvandil which pretty much sums up what a registry cleaner does. Only a matter of time before it "cleans" something important and your reinstalling windows.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll just leave it alone rather than leaving the barn door open and having to chase all the horses that may be in my future. Thanks again,
