Solved: Creating a backup
First of all I have never made a backup of my laptop and have no idea of how to do it.

I tried to do this today and total processing time was 20 min & 1 CD .

I think I did it wrong because I have a total of 83GB on C drive and 12GB on the D drive.

Is there somplace that I can read about how to do this properly.

Thanks

Not sure I can help but others might be able to if you post what backup software you're using?

Perhaps if you use the 'report' button (bottom right) and ask Mod / Admin to move this to the W7 forum?

It sounds as though you let Windows choose what to backup, and that's probably fine, as it backs up your data.
If you want to backup the entire system choose the "image" option.
