By the way, Firefox 3.5.5 is out.

If it runs ok, then it is an extension or theme effecting it.
Also update Firefox as flavallee suggested.
Here are other causes that you can see if effecting Firefox. Firefox Crashes | | Junior Member with 7 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Experience: Intermediate | | It really does just disappear, not crashes. Have tried safe mode, same problem.
Will upgrade to 3.5.5 to see if that helps

Or does it just disappear from the task bar? | | Junior Member with 7 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Experience: Intermediate | | | | | Junior Member with 7 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Experience: Intermediate | | Update ...
Uninstalled Firefox. Installed latest 3.5.5. Same problem
Updated Flash - same problem.
Seems to disappear immediately if I click on ' browse ' when going to upload anything. Same if I click on 'Save as' if I try to save a page.
If I have Firefox open in 2 windows. Both disappear.
Does that give any more clues ?

#11 | The problem with Firefox disappearing from the taskbar is not the same as it not starting or crashing. How do you know it's not starting? Does it not appear in task manager? Are you watching task manager? You can press ALT+TAB to scroll through open programs to get back to Firefox if it's missing from the task bar. | | Junior Member with 7 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Experience: Intermediate |

#13 | Hello
Peter.smart, i've got the same problem, try clicking the my security zone tab on the Kapersky main page, on that tab you'll find Safe Run (Sand Box), if firefox is listed in this box then delete it, this might be the problem, it was for me.
