Loading digidesign protools le 6.1
Hi
-don't know if you can help me with this one. Trying to load Digidesign Mbox (hardware mixer) with Protools version 6.1 onto XP.
-Apparently designed for use with XP and above, but get message saying XP have not validated,
- continued to load software, to find it corrupted the functioning of the computer big style.- crashed and then wouldn't restart XP saying it did not have key component-
-eventually resolved that and got it running ok by deinstalling Protools and unplugging Mbox
-No reason to think disc is corrupted.
- On Digidesign site , suggests something about possible incompatibility with IE8 (which I recently downloaded)-
but issue seems it may not be that-and I'm wary of it all going down again
- any thoughts please?
Cheers
Richard
