How to find/use webcam
My ASUS apparently came with a WebCam, but I can not find the program anywhere. It should be a USB 2.0 1.3 M UVC WebCam. Under device manager (which is the only place I can find any mention of it) it says there is a driver installed and the status says the device is working properly. What am I supposed to do now?

You need to install MS messenger, Skype or whatever your favourite is.

My HP came with an OEM version of CyberLink's YouCam software, which can be downloaded from the HP website. I'd suspect ASUS would have a similar application available.

Without that installed, the only way to access the camera is via a messenger program, seems Vista and Win 7 don't have the Control Panel | Scanners and Cameras applet that lets you access a WebCam in XP.
