Angry completely uninstalling a software
how do you uninstall anydvd, where no part is left anywhere on the hard drive. Using the uninstall process does not do it. Using perfect uninstaller does not do it. using all the different registry cleaners does not do it. There is a file is system32 called anydvd.sys. If you manualy remove this file; your cd/dvd drive will not show up on your computer.

Have you tried Revo uninstaller?

If you have already uninstalled it, you might need to reinstall it and let Revo remove it. It's been reliable for me, cleaning up behind programs much better than the default uninstallers provided.

It sounds like a poorly written peice of software that hooks the cd/dvd drive with a driver. If you blow the file, have you tried reinstalling the device in device manager? Also please use a less bold font as some users may find it a bit obnoxious....

I agree with crashie about Revo. I started using it a month or two ago and it is far superior to the windows uninstaller and most manufactures uninstall.

I have hunted for left overs on all three methods of installation and the only one that cleans it all up is Revo.

tech guy you are right about it being a driver for the cd/dvd drives. It hooks a driver to the system32 anydvd.sys. if you forcelfully remove this; you drive will not show up in mycomputer. You can't uninstall nor reinstall from device manager. An error comes up. it attaches some file to the cd/dvd hotkey class registry. something about high & low. maybe you smart guys can find away to remove this high & low reg file

sorry, but anydvd is still leaving something behind even after using revo in the deepest scanning method. after a length of time anydvd says the trial period has ran out. It is something comes back after time and comes back after restarting the computer.

I'm going to close this one, we actually don't assist in bypassing trial periods, I suggest you buy the software.

I'd also recommend you stop using the strange colors, they make the messages hard to read and don't add anything to the content.
