What is Intel Matrix Storage Manager
While installing all the drivers on a new OS re-install on my Dell XPS 435T, I noticed on my Drivers CD from Dell a program called Intel Matrix Storage Manager. What is this program and do I need to install it? I am not running any type of RAID configuration. I have a total of 3 hard drives installed, but the extra hard drives are simply for additional storage. My question is, should I install this program even though I have no RAID, or can I leave it off my system? Do I gain any benefit from installing it?

You don't need to install it.

If it's already installed, you can disable it from automatically loading and running.
