Hi,
Roboform and LastPass often suggested here at TSG. Don't use them myself but reviewed at TechSupportAlert, both are free (poss limited version?)

Roboform was too limited for me, and LastPass wasn't quite what I needed (stored online as opposed to stored on my computer).

Thanks, but any knowledge on these two? (or, possibly another free password manager)

I've been very happy with KeePass Password Safe.

I prefer version 1.17 http://keepass.info/news/n091205_1.17.html

Mozilla Firefox browser has a built in password manager. I've never used it as I have RoboForm (which I'm quite happy with), but I know its there. See the attached thumbnail.

Stanley, this is exactly what I'm looking for!

May I ask why you prefer version 1.17 over the latest release??? Just wondering.

They are actually two different versions, 1.x is called the Classic Version and 2.x is the Professional Version (though it's still free). Both versions continue to be updated.

KeePass currently is available in two different editions: 1.x and 2.x. They are fundamentally different (2.x is not based on 1.x). They mainly differ in portability and functionality.
Here's a comparison: http://keepass.info/compare.html

I was using version 1.x before they developed version 2 so I think the main reason I stuck with version 1 was because I was familiar with it and I didn't really need the additional functionality of version 2. I think version 1 is easier to work with.

But since you haven't used either version maybe start with version 2 and see how you like it.

Both versions can run without installation and can be put on a USB stick.

Ok, thanks for the help.

I downloaded both versions in case I don't like 2.09. And got the portable versions too.

And, I'm loving this snow
